• Dual Role: The MVI46-MCM can function as either a Modbus Master or Slave on the network.
  • Master Mode: In master mode, the SLC 500 processor, through the MVI46-MCM, initiates communication and controls data exchange with Modbus Slave devices (sensors, actuators, etc.) connected to the network.
  • Slave Mode: In slave mode, the SLC 500 processor acts as a Modbus Slave device, responding to data requests from other Modbus Masters on the network.
