The RDM collaborative robot joint servo drive module is a high-performance, DC powered, and extremely compact all digital universal servo driver developed based on advanced FPGA technology, with a maximum power of 1000W. The position, speed, and torque of servo motors are controlled through the EtherCAT/CANopen bus, greatly reducing the cost of each node in the EtherCAT/CANopen bus multi axis system.
The RDM driver module operates as an EtherCAT/CANopen slave station using the CoE protocol of DSP-402, supporting position/speed/torque cycle synchronization, position/speed/torque curve, PVT, and home mode.
