The GE IS200VAICH1D is an analog input/output (VAIC) board designed for use with the GE Mark VI series VME systems.
It’s essentially an industrial computer circuit board that deals with analog signals.
- Analog Inputs: It can accept 20 analog inputs from sensors and convert them into digital values the computer can understand. These inputs can be voltage, 4-20 mA, or +1 mA signals, configurable through jumpers on the terminal board.
- Analog Outputs: It controls 4 analog outputs. The VAIC board converts digital values from the computer into analog currents and sends them to external devices. Two outputs are fixed for 4-20 mA, while the other two can be configured for either 4-20 mA or 0-200 mA.
- Signal Conditioning: The board includes circuitry to improve the quality of the analog signals by reducing noise and interference.
