This board fits within the MKIV turbine control system designed to manage industrial gas and steam turbines of various sizes and complexity. The Mark IV was the first of the Speedtronic systems to increase reliability by using a TMR (triple modular redundant) arrangement. This use of duplicated processors voting on all inputs allowed for less downtime within the overall system.
