The Foxboro FBM205 is an I/O interface module designed for use in Foxboro Distributed Control Systems (DCS).

• Input/Output Channels: It has four redundant 0 to 20 mA dc analog input channels and four redundant 0 to 20 mA dc analog output channels. This allows it to receive and transmit analog signals from various industrial instruments.
• Redundancy: As mentioned earlier, it’s a redundant module. This means it contains two independent channels for each input and output. If one channel fails, the other can take over seamlessly, minimizing downtime.
• Isolation: Each input and output channel is galvanically isolated. This means the electrical signals on one channel don’t interfere with signals on other channels or ground loops.
