The ABB ATS022 AUTO.TRAN.SWITCH ADVANCED CONTROL is an automatic transfer switch manufactured by ABB.

It is an accessory for the Emax 2 circuit breaker line and is designed to automatically switch between two power sources in the event of a power failure.

The ATS022 features a display and Modbus communication capabilities, which allow for remote monitoring and control of the switch. It is also compatible with a variety of operating modes, including:

• Normal operation (N-L): In this mode, the ATS supplies power from the primary source (LN1) until a power failure occurs. When a power failure is detected, the ATS automatically transfers power to the secondary source (LN2). Once power is restored to the primary source, the ATS will automatically transfer power back to LN1.
• Non-priority load (NPL): In this mode, the ATS supplies power from the primary source (LN1) until a power failure occurs. When a power failure is detected, the ATS transfers power to the secondary source (LN2) only if the load on the primary source exceeds a preset value. Once power is restored to the primary source and the load falls below the preset value, the ATS will transfer power back to LN1.
• Bus Tie: In this mode, the ATS connects the two power sources together. This mode is typically used for maintenance purposes or to allow for parallel operation of the two power sources.
