The 2711-T5A8L1 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) device that is part of the PanelView 550 standard operator terminal by Allen-Bradley. It is electronic hardware, designed for installation near the machine or process being controlled, providing real-time operator monitoring and control interface. This terminal comes with built-in functionalities including a visualization screen, operator input interface, and communication as well as integrated memory modules and other essential components. The secondary port is an RS232 interface that is mainly used for communicating with an alarm printer for archiving and record-keeping purposes. It is equipped with built-in graphic libraries, alarm, trend, and recipe objects while also supporting the configuration of HMI security.
